Hyde Park, located on the South Side of the City of Chicago, in Cook County, Illinois, United States and seven miles (11 km) south of theChicago Loop. It is home to the University of Chicago, the Hyde Park Art Center, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Oriental Institute, and the Renaissance Society. It is formerly the name of a Township that included numerous other neighborhoods that have all been annexed by the city of Chicago.
Of all the neighborhoods close to the Loop, Hyde Park was the least affected by the Second Great Fire. In fact only the Northern most part was partially touched by the flames. On that fateful day many superpowered teenagers came to the aide of the neighborhood. The peoople of the neighborhood have shrugged off members IHA and have protected the identities of the teenagers who helped them on that fateful day.
